Indonesia to import tax-free Palestinian goods

Indonesia and Palestine signed an agreement on Tuesday which would allow the import of Palestinian dates and olive oil to Indonesia free of taxes.

The Palestinian ambassador to Jakarta, Zuheir Alshin, said that the Indonesian Minister of Trade requested a list of Palestinian products, which Palestinians hope will be allowed to enter Indonesia free of taxes.
Alshin added that another agreement may be signed in the future, between the two countries, regarding free taxes on imports.

Alshin thanked Indonesia for their support of the growth of the Palestinian economy and the Palestinian struggle for independence.
